Captain Dave Jenkins has an infectious love of the water. He began his career learning to sail on small wooden boats in Sippican Harbor while attending Tabor Academy; the “School by the Sea.” While at Tabor, he was fortunate enough to be able to spend time aboard their premier teaching vessel the SSV Tabor Boy. Dave’s enthusiasm only grew from there.
Adventures as a delivery captain brought him up and down the East Coast, ICW, and Caribbean; but he’s most at home in NYC’s sixth borough – its vast waterways.
After owning several small sailboats of his own, he decided to share this love with others. Captain Dave has taught sailing in various NY waterways, including New York Harbor and several areas of the Long Island Sound. He also volunteers with the historic NYC Fireboat the John J. Harvey.
